In Miami Beach, a proper morning lasts precisely from the first sip of cafecito to the final bite of pastelito—about 45 minutes, if you’re doing it right. Within this sacred window, the average local packs in two cafecitos, one guava-cheese pastry, three glances at the ocean, and approximately seven debates about whether today warrants beachside seating. We take our mornings seriously here.
CRAFT South Beach – Espanola Way
$$ | (786) 733-5748 | WEBSITE
Yes it’s humid outside. So, how about you go somewhere that is the complete opposite? Swap humidity for charm and head to CRAFT South Beach. There probably isn’t a better place to forget about the outside world in. CRAFT South Beach is a place where you can transport yourself to a different vibe, rather than a different climate. Sit down, order some strawberry lemonade, a few truffle fries, and then a Milanesa Napolitana to follow. Take your time. There’s no rush here.
After all, what’s there to go outside for?
Preston’s Market
$$$ | (305) 604-5442 | WEBSITE
You know that feeling when you’re scrolling through old vacation photos labelled ‘MIAMI BEACH ’25’? The ones that make you wish you were back there right now. Well, stop dreaming and just remember the coastal breeze, the fresh berries, and the delightful breakfast. That’s much better, isn’t it? If that’s what you’re craving, plus an extra touch of elegance, then Preston’s Market is the spot for you. This is basically a breakfast sanctuary for discerning adults.
Grab a coffee and get ready for the salmon Benedict or the French toast with real maple syrup. This is a lovely place to start your day in style.
Sunny Side Cafe & Eatery
$$ | (786) 216-7056 | WEBSITE
Nothing says you’re starting your day right more than sitting at a cozy table, ordering breakfast dishes as and when you crave them, and steadily working your way through a pot of coffee, does it? Even better is that you don’t even have to go far to do this now – you can just pop to Sunny Side Cafe & Eatery in South Beach. This place has got every part of a perfect morning you could wish for. Apart from the beach view.
The food is reliably good – Salmon Avocado Toast, eggs Benedict, French Cinnamon Roll, and the like – and the setting is welcoming. It’s the sort of place you may wander into and end up spending a few hours in because, well, you’re on vacation… oh wait. Well almost.
Pink Love Donuts and More (Miami)
$ | (786) 431-5144 | WEBSITE
These days, grabbing a morning donut is as Miami as watching the sunrise over the ocean and planning a beach day. We’re saying you should be heading to Pink Love Donuts and More for your sugar fix. The menu at this charming spot near the beach is split between breakfast plates like Eggs Your Way and Crème Brûlée French Toast and the main attraction: donuts. Along with croissants, waffles, and chicken and waffles.
Plus, if the cozy atmosphere in this cute space gets you smiling, enjoy their complimentary apple fritter when seated as well.
Cafe Ole
$$$ | (305) 763-8059 | WEBSITE
Let’s be honest: Miami Beach isn’t exactly known for cozy breakfast spots that feel like a special occasion. But once you slide into a booth at Cafe Ole, with a steaming plate of that incredible mushroom risotto in front of you, a side of their perfectly cooked Basic 3lb platter, and maybe a rich chocolate dessert waiting in the wings, you forget you’re just grabbing breakfast. As far as morning restaurants go, this is our top pick in Miami Beach.
It’s welcoming, delicious, and so comfortable with its upscale yet cozy vibe that you barely notice the beach crowds outside.
Bacon Bitch
$$ | (888) 422-2660 | WEBSITE
In a lot of ways, this Miami Beach spot is quite ludicrous. It’s a party-themed breakfast restaurant in a city where people are usually just waking up, and where it’s hardly ever quiet enough to have a conversation without shouting over the music. Happily, they provide the volume, and we really respond to them calling themselves Bacon Bitch. It’s just the sort of brash confidence that we love. The food here is good at best, and it’s pricey too, but there’s something joyful about the place.
It’s probably because they have to work overtime to maintain the festive vibes. You can head here on a regular morning, order maple sliders to share, and even if it doesn’t feel like a celebration when you arrive, you’ll leave feeling like you’ve been to a party.
Bon Bouquet Cafe
$$ | (305) 918-1619 | WEBSITE
A proper breakfast crepe is one of the ultimate tastes of morning. And while a few bites are unbeatable – either as a meal or a snack – when the sun is shining, it’s also one of the best foods we know for fending off that special type of grogginess that descends when it’s early and you’ve been rushing for days on the trot. Bon Bouquet Cafe is one of the best spots we know for getting a crepe that will chase the blues away.
Broken Eggs Cafe
$$ | (786) 431-5144 | WEBSITE
There’s no better Miami Beach morning than one spent at a cozy breakfast spot. But when you’re craving something more than just eggs and toast, that doesn’t mean you should rule out a visit to Broken Eggs Cafe. Especially when you consider that it’s home to some of the area’s most beloved sweet treats. Though it might not be the best coffee shop in town, it’s probably the cutest.
You get all the normal stuff here: French toast, breakfast bowls, and a selection of doughnuts, however, it’s the spirit of the place that makes it a forever morning spot. The staff are polite and welcoming, it’s always buzzing, and the space itself—with its clean pink atmosphere—feels like the memory you have of a perfect sunny brunch. It’s the perfect place for ridding yourself of the perma-hustle of a Miami Beach day.
IHOP
$ | (305) 866-8961 | WEBSITE
Ever found yourself craving a classic American breakfast after a long night out in Miami Beach? Of course you have, you’re on vacation. But rather than settling for another overpriced hotel buffet, just head for IHOP near the heart of the beach. This place has enough fluffy pancakes, generous omelettes, and bustling street views to make you forget all about your hangover.
The breakfast favorites here are always a good call, but what you really want to get involved in is their $12 Original Buttermilk Pancakes that have a whole lot of fluffiness, sweet syrup, and reasonable prices going on.
YES! Cafe
$ | (305) 397-8897 | WEBSITE
The morning is quiet. The street you’re walking down is quiet. Your energy is quiet. No, this isn’t a scene from a silent film. This is a weekday. Don’t worry, you can add some flavor to your ‘routine’ by stopping at YES! Cafe in Miami Beach, and getting some much needed comfort. It’s a cafe with genuinely friendly staff who serve up consistently fresh dishes. The atmosphere is peaceful, the burgers are incredible, and you’ll leave feeling like you found your new favorite spot.
Crema Gourmet Espresso Bar (Collins)
$ | (786) 630-6653 | WEBSITE
Breakfast is not a meal. It’s a state of mind. That’s what you keep telling yourself when you’re craving a premium coffee experience but the prices are high, right? Well, at Crema Gourmet Espresso Bar (Collins), it’s completely true. We’re not sure if it’s the chill atmosphere that makes it a good place to work, or if it’s the buzz of the espresso machine, or that one latte always becomes a pastry here, but whatever it is, this spot just gets you in that morning groove.
You can definitely swing by for a coffee without eating, but, honestly, when the turkey sandwich with a good crust, fresh veggies, and mild cheese is this tasty, that would be a mistake.
