There’s a good chance you’ve never heard of this place, despite the fact that it’s been serving reliable, family-friendly meals on Smythe Street for years. Probably because its name couldn’t be more playful, or have less to do with what you’ll order here: honey garlic chicken bowls, burgers, and plenty of other options for food and drink. Jungle Jim’s is exactly what your weeknight needs after a long day—fast service, piping hot food, and an atmosphere that’s clean and pleasant.
The staff is attentive and accommodating, making it a great spot for birthday parties or just a casual dinner. While you might miss the deep-fried ice cream, and occasionally face a wait, the mid-range prices feel worth it for the overall experience. It’s the kind of place you’ll look forward to returning to, minor hiccups and all.
Harvey’s

If you’re looking for a burger in Fredericton, you might think your options are limited. But, you’d be mistaken. Harvey’s is a cozy little spot that’s very welcoming (they often have sports on the TV by the fireplace, if you need proof) and serves some of the best, most overlooked burgers in town. They’re also absolutely delicious. You can definitely customize.
