Lemon Peppers
$ | (305) 634-3900 | WEBSITE
If you’re craving a Cajun rice bowl, there’s no better choice than Lemon Peppers. Because damn, does this place know how to fry a wing. Crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, each piece of chicken tastes like it could be the poster child for comfort food around the world. Plus, a whole wing served with fresh couch and a free slushie only costs $8.99. What’s not clicking here? Head over to Lemon Peppers to grab a meal.
La Brasa Grill 123rd Biscayne
$ | (786) 409-3378 | WEBSITE
You know what everyone’s life could stand to be right now? Simpler. So we’ll make this clear – order the rotisserie chicken. Served hot off the spit with crispy skin and juicy meat, plus sides like cilantro rice and house potatoes, this is the kind of soul-satisfying meal you want when you need some extra comfort, fast. Available for pickup and online ordering.
Chick ‘ N Jones
$ | (305) 335-0538 | WEBSITE
Yes, Chick ‘N Jones is located in the bustling South Beach Food Hall, but it still delivers a standout fried chicken experience. The Jonesing hot honey chicken is a highlight, and though its $18 price point might seem steep for a food hall item, just know that you’re getting perfectly crispy, flavorful chicken with that sweet-savory balance. They also have some very tasty hot honey wings and sweet potato biscuits. Available for both takeout and dine-in with that cool music ambiance.
Crisppi’s | Miami
$ | WEBSITE
Home to our favorite chicken in the neighborhood, Crisppi’s is a Miami Beach institution and has transitioned fairly seamlessly to takeout and delivery. The menu includes garlic wings, burgers, honey garlic parmesan, and of course, crispy chicken with fluffy waffles. The garlic wings, coated in Crisppi’s house sauce, are a must, but you frankly can’t go wrong with anything that catches your eye.
Chicken Kitchen
$ | (305) 674-9007 | WEBSITE
Though we miss the full-service dining experience we once enjoyed, we’ll still happily order takeout from Chicken Kitchen, because the chicken (it comes perfectly seasoned) is simply that good. Throw in a few other delicious sides, like their signature rice and fresh salads, and you have an ideal family dinner on your hands. Takeout and delivery are available on most major platforms.
Chicken House #2
$ | (305) 742-5417 | WEBSITE
Chicken House #2 has been serving Miami Beach for years, so it’s a familiar name to locals, but this spot is absolutely still worth visiting. The pollo frito ceibeño is excellent (it’s the same recipe from the original Honduran kitchen), but we haven’t had a bad thing yet on the menu. The perfectly seasoned chicken with its salty, crunchy balance is a standout.
Available for takeout and delivery, with friendly servers like Liliana and Elisa providing top-notch service with a smile, though some improvements in customer service are needed. The affordable prices and tasty food make it a go-to spot.
Beach Road Fish House & Chicken Dinners
$$ | (305) 595-8453 | WEBSITE
There’s a lot of seafood in this town, but our favorite can be found at Beach Road Fish House & Chicken Dinners. Also known for their phenomenal service, this spot offers expertly prepared dishes like fresh grilled grouper and fish seviche that have everything a hungry diner – or as they’re called in Miami Beach, “beachgoers” – could ever want. Available with live jazzy music on some nights.
Church’s Texas Chicken
$ | (305) 756-5180 | WEBSITE
When we close our eyes at night, we dream of the day we can return to Church’s Texas Chicken, filled with the aroma of juicy, flavorful chicken and the convenience of plentiful parking. Until that happens, we’ll happily do drive-thru and takeout. The wide selection includes excellent deals on window posters, but we tend to go for the chicken sandwich combo with crinkle-cut fries and the fried okra side.
Pollo Tropical
$ | (305) 945-0045 | WEBSITE
There is no shortage of incredible chicken spots to be found in Miami Beach, but the meals served at Pollo Tropical continue to be some of our favorite in town. And right now, this Caribbean-inspired chicken specialist is running an efficient drive-thru system that gets you in and out in a matter of seconds. Plus, they’ve even maintained a spotless environment throughout the restaurant – a true gift if you know how hectic family weekends can get. The ‘Trio’ combo is a must.
Both dine-in and takeout are available.
Chesters Beach Bucket Grocery
$ | (305) 861-2009 | WEBSITE
Back in the good old days (last summer), Chesters Beach Bucket Grocery was what you would call a “hidden gem.” With its friendly service, delicious Chester chicken, and reasonable prices, to grab a meal there was, simply put, to enjoy the best of both worlds.
But just because they’re also a mini grocery store now, that doesn’t mean Chesters is any less of a standout—they now have Magnum ice cream available, and you can enjoy their excellent food quality whether you’re dining in or taking it to the beach.
KFC
$ | (305) 446-9612 | WEBSITE
The popular fried chicken chain is offering a straightforward takeout and delivery menu filled with classic buckets, sandwiches, and sides. You can order everything by piece, but make it easier on yourself and go for one of the family meal deals instead. The staff is generally pleasant, and manager Odalys Castro provides exceptional service when she’s on duty. Parking is convenient with about six spots right near the front doors, though order accuracy can sometimes be an issue.
While the Famous Bowl portion feels limited for the price, and they don’t have popcorn chicken available, it’s still a reliable spot for quick fried chicken when you’re in Miami Beach.
Chick-fil-A
$ | (786) 864-0400 | WEBSITE
With its prime location at a busy corner in River Landings, Chick-fil-A definitely falls on the more affordable side of the fast-food spectrum. But unlike the time you paid for parking then realized you only had five minutes before the meter expired, the service here is actually worth the extra effort. Stick with the classics, and get the chicken sandwich with pickles. Available for dine-in and takeout, just order ahead or use their easy pick-up options.
CM Chicken NMB (Choong Man Chicken) 충만치킨
$ | (786) 588-6066 | WEBSITE
Let’s make one thing absolutely clear: If you’re visiting CM Chicken NMB, you should be ordering the snow onion chicken tenders. It’s a signature dish that starts with perfectly fried, juicy chicken, then gets piled high with a mountain of fresh, crispy onion slivers. It’s kind of like a flavor explosion in every bite, but like, a million times more satisfying. Available for dine-in and takeout.
Pollo Campero
$ | (833) 226-7376 | WEBSITE
KFC better watch their backs, because when it comes to the chicken, Pollo Campero has definitely got them. From crispy-on-the-outside, tender-inside fried chicken to the full-of-flavor signature Pollo Campero dish, the poultry selection here is almost unmatched – and it’s all available for takeout. Call the restaurant to order.
