When you need a quick, satisfying meal that feels like a secret discovery, Noori Chicken & Tofu delivers. It’s a hidden gem with speedy service and a friendly vibe, tucked away with plenty of free parking. The space is simple and welcoming, with clean tables and bright lighting that make it easy to settle in. Wherever you sit, just make sure the garlic soy strips—crispy, savory, and utterly addictive—are on the table.
Also, don’t skip the outstanding japchae or the 8-piece leg and thigh with semi-hot sauce, which is moist, tender, and packed with flavor. The tofu stew with seafood and bibimbap in a hot stone bowl are delicious, and the rich, satisfying curry never disappoints. Everything holds up well even after reheating, making it a reliable spot for takeout, too.
Cousins Tasty Chicken
$ | (616) 456-5244 | WEBSITE
Cousins Tasty Chicken is the perfect fried chicken spot: it involves generous portions and classic comfort dishes, like the three-piece meal with fries and a drink—they won’t break the bank, and taste excellent, too. If ordering, go for the perfectly seasoned fried chicken with just-right breading, or the simple yet delightful fried Oreo dessert. This place is where to indulge and take a break—it’s often busy and crowded but worth the wait for that hot, crispy, non-greasy chicken.
KFC
$ | (616) 538-6540 | WEBSITE
This reliable chicken chain has been serving its signature fried chicken in Wyoming for years, and they’re still dishing out those familiar crispy pieces from their straightforward location. But their drive-thru service is particularly noteworthy and it’s also where you can get quick hot meals (card-accepted). The menu stays consistent, but count on a mix of Original Recipe chicken, crispy tenders, mashed potatoes, and biscuits.
As you’d expect from one of the area’s better fast-food spots, their chicken (especially the breasts), always satisfies.
Chick-fil-A
$ | (616) 534-2961 | WEBSITE
Chick-fil-A has the same menu as other locations, which is good news for anyone who loves their classic chicken sandwich made with real, high-quality ingredients—like us. This restaurant has much more parking than some spots, so it’s better suited for families because you’re busy and convenience matters. Luckily that makes it easy to get our favorites, like the consistently good chicken sandwiches with their signature sauces, and the tasty ice cream that’s sweet and refreshing.
Wing Kingz
$ | (616) 279-2181 | WEBSITE
Looking for a spot that can handle a hungry group and please even the most particular eaters? Wing Kingz is your answer. While it’s a straightforward counter-service restaurant with a cozy, no-frills atmosphere, the menu has surprising depth, and something for everyone (yes, even your friend who orders frog legs)—like perfectly seasoned wings in standout flavors such as Kingz Spicy and Sweet, Hot Lemon Pepper, and Medium, plus French fries, gizzards, and combos like the 6 piece combo.
The service is friendly and efficient, with the owner being super nice, so it’s the perfect place for a casual meal, especially for the best chicken wings, all made fresh to order with next-level flavor and crispiness at a great price.
Krispy Krunchy Chicken
$ | (616) 805-3861 | WEBSITE
Krispy Krunchy Chicken is a spot for simple, well-executed halal fried chicken—and there are a lot of options, from the huge all-white-meat tenders to the large family meal that feeds a crowd. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu at this gas station-based eatery, but our favorites include the crispy, juicy chicken seasoned to perfection with a unique blend of spices, the surprisingly tasty jambalaya that catches many off guard, and the tenders that are massive for the price.
The staff is friendly and efficient, with the man in charge being super helpful and providing excellent service in the clean, welcoming environment. It’s a hidden gem that keeps you coming back.
Rika’s Chicken & More
$ | (616) 265-5575 | WEBSITE
When you need immediate comfort food in the neighborhood, Rika’s Chicken & More is the logical answer. The family-owned restaurant is a Wyoming staple—they do have some delays in serving time though, so do all the necessary schedule rearranging to get here. We love the chicken tenders, which are perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of crisp, fried to order for maximum freshness, along with their simple yet impeccable wings and flavorful fried okra.
The portions are generous, and many plan to return to try other items like the dark meat special.
