After a long day exploring Sonoma County’s vineyards or hiking through Armstrong Redwoods, sometimes you just crave something simple and satisfying. I’m very grateful to them. I just started working at the mall nearby and was there three or four times a week. I was so grateful for how they looked after me. I had my usual spot by the TVs and I would sit at the same table every visit. If I’d finished my shift, I’d go for the Korean sauce wings. But I felt like it was slightly impractical to head home with sticky fingers—especially after handling merchandise.

This might be a little bit out there, but I think they do some of the best wings in Santa Rosa. They do the Peking style which is absolutely next level.

Round Table Pizza

Round Table Pizza

A reliable spot for family dinners in Santa Rosa. When the weekend rolls around, you can order the Parmesan crust pizza and the chicken wings in the dining area. When I was planning my son’s birthday party, we needed a place that could handle a crowd. So over the years of living here, I’ve spent a lot of time at Round Table and became very familiar with the staff. When it wasn’t too busy, Tim would come check on our table, bring extra napkins, and make sure the kids were happy.

It was always smooth. I’ve got some photos that capture those easy, comfortable moments.

It’s just pure comfort. I love Chinese food but I’m always a little hesitant to order takeout from places that don’t look promising. I know Santa Rosa has options, but I’ll really only get General Chicken from a restaurant if I can trust the quality. But for me, the crab rangoons that they do there are so delicious. I can’t get enough of them.

I think we were watching the 49ers game last Sunday, or it might have been the Raiders game, I can’t remember. My brother found it. They do their own little twist on all things pizza and I just love it. They have a little bar area which I love. It’s designed a bit like a cozy sports lounge and they do these chicken wings there, which are absolutely just heaven on earth.

Charleys Cheesesteaks

Charleys Cheesesteaks

It’s right in my neighborhood and it’s a perfect quick dinner spot because it means we’re not driving across town. But it feels like Philly has come to Santa Rosa. The cheesesteak is absolutely satisfying. It is one of the most delicious sandwiches I’ve ever enjoyed. It’s indulgent and it’s classic but it doesn’t feel heavy in any way. It also feels very clean and fresh. You can go out and have a comforting meal and not leave feeling like you’ve, you know, just overdone it.

ZamZam

ZamZam

One of my favourite Middle Eastern spots, ZamZam, is right in that corner store location. It’s a lovely family-run operation. So whenever I’m craving something authentic, I always swing by ZamZam. It’s one of my absolute favourite restaurants in Santa Rosa. The food is absolutely out of this world. They do this shawarma wrap with perfectly seasoned lamb. It’s a dish that I crave when I’m away.

Domino’s Pizza

Domino

It feels like a Santa Rosa staple. It’s a great place to grab a quick meal when you’re on the go. It can satisfy any craving and it’s just so reliable. I’m picking up the carryout special there. That’s my time to be there.

Little Caesars Pizza

Little Caesars Pizza

My family loves pizza so we have all the delivery apps on our phones and I haven’t actually ever used that one, but I should. I think my neighbor has—I’m pretty sure she picked up a pizza from there the other day. I love Little Caesars because it feels very straightforward. I love the idea of them having these hot fresh pizzas ready and you’re grabbing food from them. It feels like there’s no waiting there, which I like. It’s a really easy dinner spot to grab food from.

And ultimately, you know, it’s more affordable than going to a fancier place and getting a pizza that costs twice as much.
