Though it’s largely used as a lively hangout, Social House has a cozy atmosphere with a selfie museum and painting for those moments you just want to soak in the vibe while digging into the sweet chili and henny wings, crispy fried whiting, or oxtail flatbreads.

Kbarr started as a small cocktail lounge that kept gaining a loyal following until it blossomed into Hartford’s premier destination with its current name. Now, this downtown spot brings the energy with a bar area decked in warm wood accents, industrial lighting, and a killer sound system. The cocktail-focused experience delivers the city’s best takes on classic and innovative drinks.
Their signature rum punch is one of the best things we sipped and their fantastic happy hour with good food and music gives new meaning to unforgettable nights out.
L BAR

But L Bar’s friendly staff, inviting atmosphere, and manager’s attention to customer satisfaction are the always-reliable comforts we seek when other bars feel impersonal.

Agave Grill

Agave Grill is a casual pub-like Mexican spot near the XL Center in Hartford. When we need an exciting dinner to pull us from weekday monotony, we head to RAW* in downtown Hartford to dive into fresh sushi and seafood towers. Though the vibe here is lively—cool cocktails and plenty of photo opportunities—their impressive presentation and tasty food are full of enough energy to wake us up. All of the dishes at this cocktail bar restaurant feature seafood while a good bit of the menu is shareable (and some can be made into mocktails upon request).
