Looking back at 2025 feels like a whirlwind. Sure, it beats the chaos of years past, but we still had our share of grocery store meltdowns and traffic-induced sighs. Yet through it all, one delicious constant emerged: the vibrant flavors of Indian cuisine, especially in Levittown’s newest spots. These aren’t just restaurants—they’re family recipes perfected, modern twists on classics, and cozy corners that make takeout from the couch feel downright mundane.
Indian Flames Restaurant
$ | (267) 332-3939 | WEBSITE
This year was a roller coaster. Tears were known to spring from our eyes at a moment’s notice and that hippo-shaped stress ball on our desk saw some action. And on those tough days, we gravitated towards Indian Flames at dinnertime. The Levittown restaurant is a total throw-back to the family-run eateries in the tri-state area. You’ll spot dishes filled with things like tender goat korma simmered in rich sauce, fragrant chicken biryani, and smoky tandoori paneer tikka with homemade mint chutney.
Though there are a few traditional appetizers on the menu, most of the food here feels more like a comforting embrace on a plate—and that’s a great attribute in our books. The operation is technically dine-in only, but if you need your comfort immediately, check out the cozy dining room with its warm lighting and well-kept decor. It’s a great place to post-up, eat some garlic naan, and walk out feeling much better about your life.
Indian Garden
$ | (215) 369-7016 | WEBSITE
What was once a modest neighborhood spot has blossomed into Levittown’s premier destination for authentic Indian cuisine. It’s a place that’s so consistently satisfying, you’ll find yourself planning visits for every birthday, family gathering, and casual weeknight craving. All the usual restaurant formalities—waiting for menus, flagging down servers—are rendered unnecessary by their attentive staff and seamless service.
There are multiple ways to experience the food here, from the extensive lunch buffet to à la carte classics, but the crown jewel, Indian Garden’s signature masterpiece, is the Garden Special – Chicken. It’s a harmonious duo featuring chicken curry with stewed tomato chunks alongside a vegetable Korma with cauliflower and asparagus, described as “richly spiced, perfectly balanced” and involves a delightful combination of tender meat, vibrant vegetables, and aromatic sauces.
It’s a restaurant perfected, a warm experience that feels more like a comforting meal at home than a simple dinner out.
Elite Indian Kitchen
$$ | WEBSITE
It’s not often we get excited about strip mall dining, but Elite Indian Kitchen is a major exception. Located in a spacious storefront in Levittown, this Indian spot oozes genuine warmth and hospitality from every pore. You’ll find comfortable booths lining the walls, soft lighting that creates a relaxed glow, and an open kitchen just begging patrons to watch their garlic naan being freshly baked.
The menu is filled with standout dishes like perfectly seasoned butter chicken with tender meat, crispy samosas with flavorful fillings, and creamy masala that transports you to Delhi even if it’s December and you’re kind of bundled up. If you’re looking for a satisfying Indian meal in Levittown, Elite Indian Kitchen is where you need to be.
Cafe Bombay
$ | (215) 788-4239 | WEBSITE
When Cafe Bombay opened its takeout-only spot in Bristol Borough, the word-of-mouth buzz was immediate. They had already earned a reputation through consistent quality, orders piled up quickly, and by dinner time, they were often running low on popular items. The first time we called in, we waited nearly an hour for pickup, but we would’ve waited for two.
And that’s because Cafe Bombay isn’t just the best Indian food in Levittown, it’s some of the most authentic we’ve tasted anywhere in the region. They specialize in flavorful, fresh dishes, meaning the chai is essential. And while the chai is more balanced than most versions we’ve had elsewhere, Cafe Bombay’s standout items aren’t limited to beverages.
The kitchen uses fresh ingredients, and through dishes like garlic naan perfect for dipping, creamy homemade raita, and a standout Malabar fish curry, they’ve incorporated countless elements to make Cafe Bombay feel like a genuine Indian experience. Plus, with customizable spice levels and reasonable prices around $12–$18 per entree, you can tailor your meal entirely to your taste.
Guru’s
$$ | (215) 968-5700 | WEBSITE
This Indian gem was one of the first places we returned to when dining out felt safe again, and walking into the cozy interior was like stepping into a warm embrace of post-pandemic comfort. You’ll find a welcoming family-run atmosphere, a spacious patio perfect for summer evenings, and that authentic Northern Indian flavor you’ve been craving.
This local favorite makes Levittown taste like a culinary destination, and if you’ve been sticking to takeout, it strikes the perfect balance for a special meal out without breaking the bank. That said, Guru’s is more than just good value—the food and service are excellent too. We love the savory Samosa Lamb, and the buffet is essentially a choose-your-own-adventure feast that changes regularly with dishes like Aloo Jeera and Papdi Chaat. But if you don’t try the Malai Kofta, you’re missing out.
With its creamy sauce and perfectly spiced vegetable dumplings, it’s one of our favorite vegetarian dishes in town.
Bansee’s Kitchen
$$ | (267) 332-0046 | WEBSITE
Bansee’s Kitchen doesn’t do fussy or formal, and that’s exactly why it works. At this vegetarian Indian spot in Levittown, there’s no pressure to stick to a script, and you’re welcome to linger over your meal as long as you like. Looking to share a comforting Gujarati Thali with a friend and maybe add a fresh green salad later if the mood strikes? Go right ahead. Maybe you’re with the family and everyone’s craving something different.
Just head to the counter and order all the Paneer Handi Masala, veg fried rice with veggie balls, and Chole Bature your table can handle. At Bansee’s, the only rule is there are no rules, (though we do insist you try the street food-inspired dishes). And those are always the best kinds of meals.
Ice Gola Express
$ | (609) 403-0518 | WEBSITE
The first time we visited Ice Gola Express we were reminded why celebrating with great flavors is so much better than just having dessert. This was the spot where we came out of our summer slump – all while surrounded by friends, vibrant treats, and a general air of nostalgia. In subsequent events, our fondness for this entirely refreshing Indian gola stand in Levittown has only grown.
You know an event is a success at Ice Gola Express when, at some point, every inch of your table is filled with some sort of colorful gola, traditional combo, and basket of perfectly crafted treats. Everyone in your party will be sipping and savoring, mixing and matching, and ordering flavor after flavor of kala khatta combos. And when you look around at all the other guests enjoying the beautiful traditional decorations, you’ll notice they’re all doing the exact same thing.
Shagun palace
$ | (215) 638-0786 | WEBSITE
When this spacious, welcoming Indian restaurant opened in Levittown back in 2025, it felt as if the entire neighborhood was trying to feed us. The weather was cold, comfort food cravings were high, and at Shagun Palace, we were served a butter chicken so creamy, we could have worn it like a cashmere sweater. Run by the friendly duo behind the counter, Shagun Palace specializes in Indian home-style cooking.
You’ll find hearty dishes, like goat curry and garlic chili noodles—in essence, everything that tastes like it was designed to be eaten by a hungry family celebrating in a warm, bustling hall. No meal is complete without the lunch buffet, a wonderful spread with a different menu each day that is half-feast, half-culinary adventure. Do we always crave Indian food that tastes like it was lovingly prepared by Raju and Raghu themselves? Not really. But when we do, we’ll head to Shagun Palace.
Indian Hut Bensalem
$ | (215) 638-2200 | WEBSITE
Even if your interest in Indian food has been somewhat casual this year, chances are you’ve at least heard of Indian Hut Bensalem. This highly-recommended spot is one of the most talked about Levittown destinations thanks to consistently amazing dishes and a staff that’s super friendly and polite. A great meal here is one that features fragrant biryanis, creamy butter chicken that melts in your mouth, and at least one round of their delicious pineapple cake.
It’d be easy to write this place off as just another franchise location, but Indian Hut Bensalem breaks the mold because their food is extraordinary. The vegetarian options are fresh and interesting, the butter chicken is great to share with friends (or keep for yourself while enjoying the comfortable seating), and the Chef’s ability to accommodate any food preference makes every visit memorable. And yes, the fact that everything arrives on-time and correctly filled doesn’t hurt either.
Spice Rack
$ | (215) 244-2566 | WEBSITE
You’re going to spend very little money at Spice Rack. That’s just a fact. But unlike the time you ordered takeout from that generic chain place, had it delivered to your house, then realized it tasted like cardboard, those dollars won’t be for nothing.
The focus here is on fusion creativity and generous portions, which means Mexican and Indian flavors come together seamlessly, there’s absolutely no skimping allowed on ingredients, and the kitchen works with fresh spices and personal recipes to create dishes that are exactly right for them. Which, on paper, kind of sounds like a gimmick. But you’ll eat paneer lacha with perfect texture, beautifully spiced paneer angra, and daal decorated with aromatic herbs.
And if digging into a massive plate of Mexican-Indian fusion in Levittown doesn’t scream “I’m getting incredible value while eating like royalty,” we don’t know what will.
IndiGrill
$ | (609) 570-0036 | WEBSITE
Levittown has no shortage of excellent Indian restaurants with big followings and even bigger accolades, but IndiGrill reminds us there’s always room for another place to shift the conversation. Located in New Jersey, IndiGrill offers delicious Indian cuisine with generous portions at a good price, perfect for busy schedules and those near TCNJ and college students looking for a satisfying meal.
The menu includes straightforward options like garlic naan, shrimp bowl, samosas, and mango lassi, with dishes like chicken bowls and saag being favorites. You might be thinking these are things that can be found on Indian menus all over town, and you’re right, but to eat at IndiGrill is like trying them for the first time. Every dish here is flavorful, fresh, and unabashedly spicy, like the chicken vindaloo known for its bold heat, while catering to various dietary needs including gluten-free.
Bukhara tandoori grill
$ | (609) 526-5047 | WEBSITE
When Bukhara Tandoori Grill, a popular Indian restaurant run by owner Awais, opened in Levittown a few years back, we had a few questions. Namely, what the hell? But there’s power in embracing the masses. Take that photo of a perfectly charred garlic naan fresh from the tandoor, for example, which was all over our Instagram feeds for like, a week.
Similarly, by focusing on its authentic roots, Bukhara represents a new chapter in Levittown’s dining scene, one that’s more accessible in every sense of the word, placing familiar favorites like chicken tikka masala and butter chicken on the same menu as hyper-specific regional curries like lamb and goat. We’ve seen more types of naan than we could ever imagine here, plates filled to the brim with spicy, vibrant-red sauces, and tender meats simmered with aromatic spices.
So, while Bukhara doesn’t offer the same experimental, fusion-driven dishes of some trendier spots, it’s able to do something just as revolutionary: deliver excellent Indian cooking straight to the mainstream.
Zaika Kabab & Curry
$ | (215) 945-4185 | WEBSITE
As you step into Zaika Kabab & Curry in Levittown, don’t be surprised if you’re immediately enveloped by the warm, aromatic embrace of authentic Indian spices. There’s a bustling takeout counter up front, an open kitchen humming with activity in back, and vibrant traditional artwork adorning the walls of the cozy dining area. This restaurant isn’t the first in Pennsylvania to offer Indian cuisine, but it’s one that commits fully to delivering bold, traditional flavors.
A native of India might find themselves exclaiming, “There’s chicken biryani and saag paneer on the menu?” with genuine delight. And tasting dishes like the richly spiced chicken tikka masala and the perfectly balanced chana masala could transport you straight to the streets of Delhi. If you’ve never traveled to India, or can’t distinguish your biryanis from your curries, it doesn’t matter.
You’ll still be treated to genuinely flavorful food that showcases the best of what this cuisine has to offer.
