That’s why we love grabbing a seat in the convenient free parking lot out back. And after a few slices of the mushroom-topped pizza—perfect for those who prefer less sauce—or a bite of the flavorful chicken parm, you won’t mind the bustling atmosphere nor the views of the paid street parking until 6 pm.

The modest space is clean and accommodating, with a straightforward setup that keeps things simple. The menu stays consistent with their classics, but anytime the divine mozzarella cheese pull pizza or the Godfather stromboli are available, consider them must-orders.
There are other pizza joints around, but Cheezy’s is our winner in the (imaginary) neighborhood battle, because you get fresh ingredients, amazing quality, and good vibes at a great price.
Michaelangelo’s Towson

If we’re talking about one spot to capture the Towson carryout spirit, this long-running operation makes the short list. Thanks to bright lighting, no-frills counter service, and just the right amount of hustle, Michaelangelo’s is where locals come for a satisfying meal almost any time. But where this place stands out from the pizza-and-wings fray is with its full menu. Yeah, you can order cheese steak subs elsewhere, but the generously-portioned, perfectly-seasoned beauties here are different.
And sure, the place down the street has pasta too, but we can almost guarantee you that the meatballs, sauce, and garlic bread served with it won’t taste nearly as fresh.

Ledo Pizza has been a pizza staple in Towson for years, so the self-serve ordering system at the front counter is, for lack of better terms, unnecessary. This is a casual pizza joint that happens to serve respectable pies, so it fills a void for locals who want to eat jumbo chicken wings and spaghetti with meatballs in an uber-casual environment. There are no elaborate pizza displays or fancy toppings here.
Just warm lighting, plenty of booths and tables, and a worn-in feel that’s seen better days. Their menu is a mix of a few typical pizza place offerings (vegetarian options with Roma tomatoes) and a tidal wave of credible comfort food like fresh pizza and gyros.
Lombardis Pizza & Grill

Lombardis Pizza & Grill is one of our favorite dining destinations in the whole area. Though the setup (simple tables, a counter near the entrance) hasn’t changed much since the place opened, Towson regulars are cool with that because their subtly spiced tikka masala has remained one of the city’s most consistent dishes for just as long. If you’re in the mood for something a tad heartier, pair the cheese fish sub with the XL Italian veggie white sauce pizza for a meal that’s just shy of sublime.
