Well, Kennewick’s dining scene has been an absolute let down for anyone expecting predictable chain restaurants. Thankfully, we can all stop pretending the drive-thru counts as a culinary adventure and embrace what’s actually happening. As luck would have it, there’s a whole host of very exciting plates arriving in town—these are the restaurants that should be at the top of your agenda.
Bella Italia
$$ | (509) 783-1701 | WEBSITE
If Bella Italia’s fresh rigatoni is anything to go by, their intimate dining room is going to be very memorable. This Kennewick spot is run hands-on by Chef Leonardo and Nadine, with their personalized service available throughout the restaurant and for special events. Okay so now that we’ve got the practicalities out of the way, it’s time to talk about the pasta.
The rigatoni includes fresh pasta, a rich tomato sauce, parmesan, herbs, olive oil, Bella Italia’s signature wine pairing, and garlic bread. If you just said ‘wow’ out loud, then same. If you’re a fan of the classic wine and pasta combo, know that you can also order a chianti from their great selection throughout your meal too.
Wake Up Call – Columbia Center Blvd
$ | (509) 473-9534 | WEBSITE
You know what’s delicious? Being awake. That’s why we’re incredibly hyped for Wake Up Call’s consistently tasty drinks at their coffee shop on Columbia Center Blvd. The baristas here are known for being super lovely and sweet, working quickly to craft everything from chai tea lattes to custom-made beverages. Drinks are well-priced, though specialty options like the blended Blondie can run a bit higher—around $6-7.
The atmosphere is positive and welcoming, with friendly and helpful staff who make it a go-to spot for a pick-me-up. Many customers visit almost every day, believing the coffee here is better than other local options. And honestly, we refuse to be blamed for any post-caffeine jitters.
Burlesque Brew Coffee
$ | (509) 572-2700 | WEBSITE
We’ve all learned something from our favorite coffee shops. Not least that a loyalty card is essential for any true enthusiast. Most important, though, is that everyone knows that a quality espresso is worth seeking out, and specifically the espresso at Burlesque Brew’s lively social scene. The popular coffee shop has opened up its welcoming atmosphere every day for those who appreciate variety and authenticity. It’s around $5 per drink and you can check their hours online.
Taqueria El Molcajete
$ | (509) 579-0081 | WEBSITE
Kennewick is a sprawling city and some destinations are quite simply a trek. Depending on where you are, Taqueria El Molcajete falls into this category. The Mexican taqueria has long been tucked away in a commercial strip, but now, they’ve got a convenient drive-thru, serving the same peerless Asada Sope-Gordita, fish tacos, and chorizo burrito that they always have.
The fast service and fresh, tasty food make it worth the drive, with ample portions and flavorful sauces that cater to various dietary needs. The kid-friendly options like chicken nuggets and the amazing quesabirrias served with grilled onions, lime, and consomé keep everyone happy. Overall, it’s a great dining experience with high-quality Mexican cuisine and excellent customer service.
Taqueria El Rancho 2 Food Truck
This food truck tucked at the back of the hub serves delicious Yucatan-style cuisine that’s well worth seeking out. Their tacos de cochinita pibil are a standout, with juicy and flavorful meat, paired with pickled onions, avocado, and homemade tortillas. The salsa is spicy, adding to the dish’s overall appeal. The truck is completely affordable with most items under $10, but you’ll still need to bring cash since they don’t take cards.
One of our all-time favorite Kennewick spots, Taqueria El Rancho 2 Food Truck has many customers returning for more, and we’d highly recommend heading there for their authentic tacos once you’re finished exploring the area.
HOOKED SEAFOOD BOIL & BAR
$$ | (509) 606-8108 | WEBSITE
The seafood lover’s equivalent of a treasure hunt is ordering the captain’s feast and waiting to see if you can actually finish it all. Luckily, HOOKED SEAFOOD BOIL & BAR is bringing some more quintessential Pacific Northwest flavor to Kennewick with their famous seafood boils. A casual spot that we actually lowkey love for their relaxed atmosphere and giant lobster on the wall, the delicious experience – sorry – begins as soon as you walk in.
Expect attentive service from servers like Alexis, large portions with great seasoning, and fried oysters that are well-prepared and worth trying.
Aki Sushi
$$ | (509) 619-0928 | WEBSITE
It’s that magical time of year again when you tell everyone that your cousin’s roommate’s sister went to Japan once so therefore it’s totally socially acceptable for you to force everyone you know into celebrating sushi night. Hurrah! Or should we say, kanpai! This year you can get all Japanese (read as: blissed out on fresh fish) at one of our favourite Kennewick spots, Aki Sushi.
Get involved in classic rolls at their cozy dining room, or alternatively head to the bar for some creative house roll action like the Maui or Aki. If classic rolls aren’t your thing, the vegetarian options are also doing a special thing called… delicious! Subtle, we know. But we can inform you that there will be a flavor-packed experience and some kind of deeply delightful wait staff service throughout your meal.
Sakura Restaurant
$ | (509) 628-8602 | WEBSITE
Sakura Restaurant has been serving up those generous portions in Kennewick so you’ll want to get over there pronto. Seriously, chop chop. If you’re wondering why then you obviously haven’t had an evening with their famous pad thai. Needless to say, it’s a favourite on our absolutely-not-niche-at-all guide to Best Restaurants You Should Be Eating At Right Now.
A&W Restaurant
$ | (509) 582-8811 | WEBSITE
A&W Restaurant is finally serving up their classic burger combos. We’re talking budget-friendly prices, the option for a satisfying meal without any digestive issues afterward, and friendly staff that adds to the positive experience. We can only hope they also have comfortable seating. Outside of the Papa Burger combo that would presumably make any budget-conscious diner smile, they’ve also got a straightforward lunch option every day throughout the week.
Even if you’re as hungry as a bear after hibernation, we reckon the affordable $5 price point will make that burger entirely worth it. Get your meal and details on their other value options here.

Trejo’s Taco Factory
$ | WEBSITE
Trejo’s Taco Factory at the HUB in Kennewick is serving up some seriously mouth-watering tacos that have become local favorites. The Asada Torta and Tacos Gorbernador come highly recommended, and the Quesabirria Tacos are considered the best ever. How do they make them so good? Well, they’re packed full of flavor and frankly, taste delicious. However, consistency can be an issue, as some dishes may vary in quality and portion size.
Nevertheless, this spot remains a popular destination for taco enthusiasts. Also, if you happen to be someone who loves great Mexican food, hit up their excellent, feelgood service for a satisfying meal. It’s completely worth it.
