Much like our favorite neighborhood spots and weekend cravings, there are Barrios Mexican Cantinas scattered across Oak Ridge. Their updated location is serving across the area and they’re offering a solid and satisfying menu of Grade A proper Mexican food using their scratch-made margaritas and fresh ingredients. The mahi mahi fish tacos are a standout, and the enchilada meal gets consistent praise. During Lent, they even offer tofu ceviche.
The new bar and outdoor seating have really enhanced the experience, though pricing can sometimes be confusing. Overall, it’s become a popular choice for many, including visitors from Texas who appreciate the great atmosphere and friendly, improved service.

We’ve said before that the burritos from DosBros are consistently up there with the best in Oak Ridge. And now that we’ve tried making our own “burritos” at home, we mean it more than ever. If sweet coffee doesn’t take your fancy, we’re also very into the Annihilator. Mostly because it’s delicious but yes, partially because we love the name.
The baristas are always kind and welcoming, making you feel valued even during the inevitable wait. Their enthusiasm adds to the overall experience, and the little touches like free stickers and pup cups for furry friends make it a favorite place for many. The upbeat atmosphere and helpful service keep us coming back, especially during visits to town.
