The restaurant has a menu of piping hot entrees as well as a starter of white queso you could also build a meal around, like enchiladas or, our favorite, beef fajitas. The fajitas are sizzling on the skillet and perfectly seasoned on the outside, and are well worth including in a Tex-Mex trio—or added alongside tacos with fresh tortillas.
Tuscan Slice

If you’re craving Italian food and tired of places that feel like they’re trying too hard, welcome to the club. A club known as Tuscan Slice. This is an Italian restaurant that makes its dishes with authentic flavors and generous portions, and it’s quite good, though we’re partial to their chicken parmesan—the crispy breading and rich sauce distract us from the fact that we’re eating a massive meal. As a bonus, the dining room also has a fully family-friendly vibe.
You’ll find wonderful dinner options like lasagna, wood-fired pizzas, fresh salads, and warm bread that doesn’t taste like it came from a freezer and regret.

There are only a few items on the entire menu that aren’t easily tailored to different needs, which means options like the strawberry xtreme and protein blends are all things you can and should take advantage of.
The team, including manager Debbie and staff members AerialAbi, Maddie, and Pexton, are professional, kind, and always greet customers with a smile, creating a clean, safe, and family-friendly atmosphere. Despite some disappointment with the size of the grilled tenders, which were small but well-seasoned, customers enjoy the overall experience, finding it a versatile spot for post-gym fuel or a midday pick-me-up that leaves them feeling happy and satisfied.

The breading on the filets crackles with a satisfying crunch, nuggets are tender enough to make us question ever ordering elsewhere, and we can’t help but also crave the sides—like waffle fries dusted with sea salt, creamy mac and cheese, and lemonade that’s so refreshing, other beverages have been demoted from top billing.

College Street Pub is one of the best restaurants in Waxahachie, and, good news: it’s easy to enjoy a relaxed meal here since the atmosphere is clearly welcoming and casual. We have never had a bad dish in this authentic pub, but you’re in great hands with the Oak Cliff Jefe, fish and chips, and the magnificent buffalo chicken sandwich that many say is the best they’ve ever had. To soak it all up, add a heap of friendly service from the attentive staff.

Mr. Jim’s Pizza is all about friendly service and reasonable prices, which means that the experience itself is satisfying, too. And these are some standout pizzas, with crispy crusts, just enough toppings, and fresh flavors made even better by globs of cheese and savory pepperoni.
There are wings too, but they’re nothing special—so stick with the pizza and add a pineapple and ham slice.

Every steak here, be it the 12 oz ribeye cooked perfectly or NY Strip seared just right, comes with a hot baked potato, so delicious bread and tasty appetizers like potato skins with cheese and bacon can be a reality for hungry folks instead of an existential rummage through the restaurant’s quality issues section.
