In recent years, Cashmere has seen enough new developments to make you think they’re plotting a whole new town—and with them, a fresh wave of restaurants has sprouted up. You’ll find everything from farm-to-table gems and cozy bakeries to authentic Mexican taquerias and innovative wine bars. And by the time you finish reading this, another spot will likely have opened—so treat our list as your essential starting point for dining in Cashmere.
Sure To Rise Bakery
$ | (509) 782-2424 | WEBSITE
Sure To Rise Bakery is a bit off the main drag in Cashmere—tucked away in a charming morning spot. And the wonderfully nostalgic baked goods are absolutely worth the early trip. Grab the cheese zombies and the perfectly textured butterflake donut. The discount basket pastries are also a fantastic afternoon treat, especially after exploring nearby Ohme Gardens.
Big Y Cafe
$ | (509) 548-5012 | WEBSITE
Big Y Cafe is a Cashmere institution, and their hearty Denver omelette, generous pancakes, and satisfying trucker burger are essential whenever you’re in the mood for unfussy diner classics. They also have good coffee, which you can drink around a cozy counter while chatting with friendly staff. For a casual breakfast or lunch, grab one of the limited tables in the welcoming dining area.
It’s a simple and timeless valley spot that’s become one of our favorite places to eat over the years, and we don’t see that—or anything else about it—changing anytime soon.
Milepost Brewing
$$ | (509) 888-0222 | WEBSITE
Milepost Brewing serves hearty burgers, outstanding fish and chips, and other casual pub fare in what feels like a community-coded brewery. We’d usually steer clear of places with limited house beers, but the selection here is surprisingly good, and you’ll feel like you’re back at your hometown’s best local spot, moving between the heated dog-friendly patio and the indoor tables as though you belong with everyone in the room.
Milepost Brewing is open year-round with friendly service and kid-friendly games on hand.
Weeds Cafe
$ | (509) 888-7050 | WEBSITE
Weeds Cafe is for breakfast lovers. That is, two lovers who really like to start their day right. The charming downtown cafe is one of the best options in Wenatchee for a casual morning or midday meal, in what feels like a cozy neighborhood spot you’d find in a smaller town. An obvious choice would be the $8 GF Nutella bar, but that might leave you too full to try all of the other non-sweet options.
The turkey sandwiches, yogurt parfait with fresh fruits, and breakfast sandwiches, like the egg and cheese on a muffin, are worth making room for too.
Anjou Bakery Cafe
$ | (509) 782-4360 | WEBSITE
Anjou Bakery Cafe is to bread lovers what the Louvre is to art enthusiasts. And that wood-burning oven, the heart of this charming bakery, is kind of like the Mona Lisa. If you already bake your own sourdough, you’ll swoon over the $8 baguette here, with each bite tasting like a different French village. Otherwise, be prepared: A visit may feel like a pilgrimage, and the owners’ passion for organic flour is palpable.
If treats like crusty sourdough rounds, or flaky croissants filled with local fruit don’t win you over, your first taste of that house-made pie will.
Club Crow
$ | (509) 782-3001 | WEBSITE
With its friendly bartenders and lively vibe, Club Crow is a welcoming dive bar that’s become a local favorite in the valley. You’ll find great burgers, tasty tri tip, and satisfying sandwiches, all served with a side of fun during their live music events. Stop by with friends for a casual night out or to join their poker tourney—there’s always a drink in hand, and with wheelchair access and ample parking, it’s easy to make it your regular spot.
La Tortuga Loca (Cashmere)
$ | (509) 470-9842 | WEBSITE
La Tortuga Loca has been serving Cashmere for years, but it would take us years more to tire of coming here. This retro-style spot dishes out authentic Mexican food like street tacos and sopa at refreshingly reasonable prices—especially compared to other sit-down Mexican restaurants around. You’ll get your house-made tortilla chips and big-screen sports, but it’s completely unpretentious, with a friendly crowd of regulars gathered at the bar.
We especially like the cactus and pork tacos and the guacamole, both of which are under $12.
Taqueria El Chavo
$ | (509) 782-3590 | WEBSITE
This Mexican spot in Cashmere has built a reputation for its tender, flavorful dishes, with many praising the quesabirria and veggie sopes. The restaurant sits in a welcoming neighborhood setting, and the outdoor patio is perfect for lunch when the sun is out. The lengua tacos, quesabirria, and grilled burritos all taste deliciously authentic, with a more balanced flavor profile than the heavy-handed ones you find at other local taquerias.
The habanero salsa adds just the right kick to the lengua. It’s also a solid value: You can get a generous grilled burrito packed with real vegetables for about $12, and the veggie sopes are a standout at around $9. The friendly staff and consistent quality make it a reliable choice for a tasty meal.
The Outpost Saloon
$ | (509) 470-9793 | WEBSITE
If you’re looking for a satisfying meal in Cashmere, The Outpost Saloon is typically the answer. At this cozy yet lively restaurant serving American classics, you’ll find some perfect specimens. Start with the Dip Burger, a beef dip with Au Jus served as a burger. This all-day saloon also does an incredible take on the rib eye steak with well-portioned cuts, as well as a handful of other sub-$25 dishes like the perfect prime rib and burgers praised for their excellent balance of flavors.
The friendly and attentive service, including a bartender described as a ‘rockstar,’ serves up a no-nonsense atmosphere that makes it a recommended spot for adults looking for a great dining experience.
320 sunset street. Taco truck!!!
$ | (360) 469-9045 | WEBSITE
There are several taco trucks around Cashmere, but 320 Sunset Street Taco Truck!!! is our favorite because of their kitchen, which turns out incredible sopes and taco plates, small burritos, and satisfying tortas. If you don’t mind eating tacos from their truck window at their outdoor tables under the covered area with A/C, you can have a meal that rivals many sit-down Mexican restaurants.
Picadilly Pizza & Subs
$ | (509) 782-3407 | WEBSITE
In a town that lacks standout takeout options, the generously topped pizzas and meticulously crafted subs at Picadilly Pizza & Subs are an ideal way to satisfy a hearty craving in Wenatchee. This pizza spot stays busy during dinner hours—they focus on takeout, but you won’t have to wait more than fifteen minutes for your order. Grab a seat in the small waiting area, where there’s a steady stream of regulars, and follow your Combo Deluxe pizza with one of their fresh-made subs.
Or, if you must have something classic, get the pepperoni: the perfectly browned pie comes with a thick, chewy crust.
Farmer Joe’s Coffee, LLC
$ | (509) 264-1191 | WEBSITE
We’ve stopped way too many times at Farmer Joe’s Coffee. It’s easy to satisfy everyone with this friendly, highway-side coffee hut that looks like a rustic wooden cabin and has cheerful chalkboard signs that might include doodles of smiling coffee cups. The caramel macchiato with extra foam is the best thing on the menu, but they also serve refreshing smoothies, kid-friendly hot chocolates, and classic espresso drinks.
It’s more of a quick stop during road trips, but can get pretty busy during morning rush hours, so come with someone you’re hoping to share your caffeine buzz with.
That Pizza Place
$ | (509) 782-1505 | WEBSITE
That Pizza Place looks like the sort of nostalgic arcade where a kid from the ’80s would feel right at home. It even has vintage movie posters lining the walls. This pizza spot serves cauliflower-crust pies, not Pac-Man, but we wouldn’t be above spending an afternoon bowling here. It’s one of the only family-friendly venues in the area, and for a lively, go-to outing, their plentiful salad bar and fun racing games are just right.
Aut-To Mocha Vi
$ | (509) 782-4289 | WEBSITE
As their name hints, this cozy coffee counter inside an antique mall does, in fact, make excellent coffee. But you should actually come here for the lemon scone. It’s wonderfully flaky on the outside, but so tender and bright on the inside that each bite feels like a little burst of sunshine. Aut-To Mocha Vi’s flavorful brew, prepared any way you like, is reliably satisfying, but their specialty tea and milky shakes are our favorite things to order.
Get one with a pastry and enjoy it sitting in the plush, comfortable seating while you admire the collectibles around you.
Take A Break Cafe
$ | (509) 888-4586 | WEBSITE
This 20-seat diner in Dryden is a charming little spot that’s easy to pull into, and it offers very good home-cooked food in a clean, well-kept environment. They make excellent breakfast dishes with fresh, flavorful ingredients, many of which feel like they come straight from a local farm. The portions are hearty, the menu options are comforting, and the dishes hold up beautifully from first bite to last.
Our favorites include the hash browns that are the best in Washington and the Dryden scramble topped generously with avocados.
Rusty’s Drive In
$ | (509) 782-2425 | WEBSITE
Located along the roadside near Cashmere, Rusty’s Drive In is a fantastic choice for a casual family meal. The menu consists of classic American drive-in fare, and everything from the Rusty burger to the halibut is satisfying and well-executed. But the garden burger is the biggest reason to come here. It’s perfectly fresh, with a substantial amount of vegetables that taste like they just hopped off the farm and arrived here straight from the garden.
Sit on a grassy patch at the outdoor tables, and eat some with a side of seasoned fries dipped in that tangy Rusty sauce.
Agave Azul
$ | (509) 782-2054 | WEBSITE
Agave Azul is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, and we support the spread of their authentic flavors as far as they will go. For now, that’s just this single location in Cashmere. The thick, rich tortilla soup, fantastic carne asada, and spicy house-made salsa are just as good as we remember from previous visits, but there’s a lot less room for groups in this cozy space, and parking can be tricky.
The high back booths provide privacy for diners, and if you do eat in, you’ll get to enjoy some fresh chips and guacamole right out of the kitchen.
Blue Flame Asian Bistro & Bar
$ | (509) 782-0298 | WEBSITE
Every town should have a reliable Asian bistro. In Cashmere, Blue Flame Asian Bistro & Bar fills that role perfectly. Tucked away in a hidden location that adds to its charm, this Wenatchee-area favorite occupies a clean, welcoming space with cheerful, attentive staff who make you feel right at home. With consistently fresh, hot food and impeccable service, it’s ideal for a relaxed yet satisfying meal. The prices are reasonable for the quality, making it accessible for regular visits.
For around $45, two people can enjoy generous portions of their exceptional sushi—like the Crazy Horse roll—alongside flavorful dishes like the popular Spicy Basil with chicken, Thai coconut curry, or Singapore noodles, often leaving with leftovers for later.
