Whether it’s game day for the local team, a family visit, or just that sudden craving for wings and camaraderie, Meridian knows how to rally. When you need a spot where the screens are big and the atmosphere is bigger, these are the places that deliver.
Rudy’s Pub & Grill
$ | (208) 887-3721 | WEBSITE
If your friends usually end up complaining about every sports bar you drag them to because every other sentence out of their mouths is “Where can we actually sit together?”, just bring them to Rudy’s Pub & Grill. They take their game-day atmosphere very seriously, freestanding tables and all, and you’ll actually all be able to fit at one spot. Order all the sandwiches and everyone will be happy.
Applebee’s Grill + Bar
$ | (208) 855-0343 | WEBSITE
If they’re craving a laid-back night out, and have been pestering you about grabbing some ‘real’ American comfort food, settle the debate with a visit to Applebee’s Grill + Bar in Meridian. Order the rib-eye steak and the wonton tacos and they’ll be satisfied.
Off the Clock Sports Bar
$ | (208) 506-6318 | WEBSITE
You know what sports fans like? Meridian. And also fantastic wings. Off the Clock actually feels like it should be a different kind of bar, one where people dance to upbeat music and don’t worry about tomorrow. Once you’ve tried Maranda’s tanked fishbowl drinks, say sorry to your liver for being so mean. We’re sorry liver.
Uncle Bob’s Pizza
$ | (208) 888-0803 | WEBSITE
Maybe you’ve been dragging your friends to the same old pizza joint one too many times – bring them to Uncle Bob’s Pizza and tell them it’s your treat. With crowd-pleasing pizzas, a clean modern sports bar vibe, wallet-friendly prices, and plenty of TVs for the game, this place still feels special enough for a group outing. Your buddies might be skeptical at first but will eventually be very glad you didn’t take them to some generic chain.
Topgolf
$$ | (986) 210-1270 | WEBSITE
So you’re from a traditional golf club, and your friend is VERY skeptical about the sports bar scene. ‘But how do you have fun without proper greens?’ Take them to Topgolf, book a second-floor bay with that beautiful mountain view, and they’ll relax better knowing you’re having a blast. The sampler platter lets everyone try the barbecue highlights, the bays are modern and comfortable, and the staff keeps drinks coming with that friendly professionalism.
At about $25-40 per bay hour depending on time, it’s a solid value for groups—especially on Tuesdays. The vibrant colors and patio with corn hole give it that lively yet accessible feel. They’ll leave planning their next visit.
Bullseye Sports Bar
$ | (208) 888-6908 | WEBSITE
If your friends aren’t super picky about where they watch the game, make them (and you) happy and head to Bullseye Sports Bar. The atmosphere here is lively but never overwhelming – and they can always go with the safe order of the 300 Special cheeseburger if all else fails. The staff itself is fantastic and works seamlessly together, so they’ll be into that too. Consider it for a casual dinner or a seriously fun game day.
Breakaway Cafe and Spirits
$ | (208) 846-8410 | WEBSITE
One thing guaranteed to win over the neighborhood crowd: a great patio. Breakaway Cafe and Spirits officially has the best one in Meridian – with dog-friendly space that welcomes everyone. The drinks here are also great – tasty but not so fancy that regulars might be put off. At $15 for a cocktail and appetizer, it’s also not outrageously expensive either.
Big Al’s
$$ | (208) 780-6118 | WEBSITE
Another night out with entertainment, this time at Big Al’s. The place is family catnip – there’s the arcade, it’s a lively sports bar, and they serve fresh food with live music. Surprise twist: the service is pretty excellent. Be warned, Big Al’s can get pricey, so just make sure you catch the mariachi band on the patio and you’ll be golden.
The Curb Bar and Grill
$ | (208) 855-0202 | WEBSITE
Ever since you moved to Meridian, everyone you’ve ever met (including us) has been telling you to hit The Curb. There are just two problems: the place is always packed during game nights, and oh yeah, you’re on a budget so you can’t possibly afford to go every weekend. So when your buddies call to say they’re coming in three weeks for the big game, just pick up the phone and get there early. One taste of the massive burger and they’ll thank you.
Giggy D’s
$ | (208) 639-0081 | WEBSITE
Do you and your friends love sports? You’ll be all about Giggy D’s. The sports bar, located with easy parking, is straight-up vibrant and the food is perfect for watching the game. If you’ve hit the BSU game or need a craft beer after all that action, Giggy D’s is an excellent option.
