Sports bars and great food are fantastic separately, but unite them, and you create something transcendent—with the combined energy of a roaring stadium, a perfectly timed play, and your favorite commentator’s voice narrating every thrilling moment. Now add cold drinks and cheering crowds, and you’ve found the ultimate game-day destination. From classic wings and loaded nachos to craft beers and giant screens, here are Tulsa’s best sports bars.
Tulsa Alumni Bar
$ | (918) 430-4111 | WEBSITE
Tucked away in a lively Tulsa neighborhood, Tulsa Alumni Bar is a local favorite dishing out excellent drinks and a welcoming atmosphere, from attentive bartenders to friendly regulars. As soon as the weekend rolls around, we find ourselves craving the lively crowd and quality drinks, served in either plastic cups or glasses with a cleanliness that we usually can’t help but appreciate.
Just know that the card fee or drink prices might be higher than expected, so plan to bring some extra cash, or position yourself at the bar and try not to get too comfortable with the excellent customer service like we have in the past.
Crawpappy’s Bar and Grill
$ | (918) 743-3342 | WEBSITE
No list of sports bars in Tulsa would be complete without a mention of Crawpappy’s Bar and Grill. They’ve been a staple for bar food in Tulsa for years, and their popularity has only grown, as you can see from the packed parking lot that sometimes requires a short walk to the entrance.
They’re best known for their excellent catfish and shrimp—with unique options like “trash can biscuits and gravy”—but they also do really great specials like $3 burgers and 75-cent wing nights for when you want something just a little more budget-friendly.
Roosters Sports Bar – Tulsa
$ | (918) 994-6047 | WEBSITE
At Roosters Sports Bar, the name of the game is, well, sports and surprisingly good bar food. And they do both very well. The food here is consistently praised—a very satisfying discovery when you walk in the door—and comes in classic sports bar favorites with a few standout specials. And if you think that’s appealing, just wait until you see the different days. There’s Monday burger specials, Wednesday steak with salad and baked potato specials, and more. The best part?
There’s no bad choice, though the wings and chicken strips are especially good. They have a lively atmosphere in the Tulsa area, with pool tables, slot machines, arcade games, and some outdoor seating available.
Tulsan Athletic Club
$ | (918) 613-9468 | WEBSITE
Tucked away in an up-and-coming Tulsa neighborhood, Tulsan Athletic Club offers a fun outdoorsy environment with great drink selections, snacks, games, and live music. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the three well-maintained pickleball courts for some friendly competition, but the real highlight here is the new food truck addition.
Grab a drink from the indoor bar’s wide selection, watch a game on the screens, and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere that makes this spot perfect for a mid-week date night or casual hangout. With friendly staff always ready to help, it’s the kind of place where you can play some pickleball, then relax with a cold one like you’ve found the active-social hybrid you didn’t know Tulsa needed.
Fat Daddy’s Pub and Grille
$ | (918) 872-6206 | WEBSITE
Fat Daddy’s Pub and Grille in Tulsa may be a classic sports bar through and through, but the Rib Eye is exceptional, the kind of steak that you happily plan your evening around (or just savor it with a cold beer, it pairs perfectly). The cut is juicy and flavorful, served with two sides like fried okra and baked potato. You should also consider trying the smother in queso taco beef nachos, the lively music bingo night, and/or the Sunday karaoke with Rick Berry, as you will not be disappointed.
Elgin Park
$ | (918) 986-9910 | WEBSITE
Elgin Park has been serving up delicious pizza varieties—like the small mushroom pesto with whole garlic—in Tulsa for years now. But our favorite thing to get here is their pickle pizza, which has gained a reputation for being irrationally delicious (OK fine, this isn’t technically a traditional pie but it’s pretty close). It’s a perfect blend of tangy pickles, creamy cheese, and crispy crust that comes out piping hot from the oven.
It also comes with a few different draft beers brewed on-site, like the Elgin Park Light, and a lively atmosphere with surround sound and plenty of TVs—it’s enough to easily feed a group of friends while watching an OKC Thunder game.
Smitty’s Garage Burgers & Beer
$ | (918) 584-8484 | WEBSITE
We’re always impressed whenever we grab a meal at Smitty’s Garage Burgers & Beer. We’re powerless to not order the bison burger, and we really like their “impossible burger.” The name is perhaps a little misleading—it’s a plant-based patty that tastes remarkably like beef (and not actually impossible to eat). The aoliy sauce is bold with flavor, the sweet potato fries are crispy, and the portion size is pretty generous.
Hooters
$ | (918) 250-4668 | WEBSITE
Hooters, on its own parking lot off the main strip, is probably best known for their wings, and it’s definitely our favorite place to get a plate of smoked wings. The savory, smoky flavor is bold, juicy, and satisfying—it’s exactly what we crave when the game is on and it becomes late-night dining weather (sometimes we just catch the highlights and pretend).
Deep Pockets Billiard Bar & Bistro
$ | (918) 514-0026 | WEBSITE
Tucked away in a Tulsa strip mall is Deep Pockets Billiard Bar & Bistro—home to some of the best pool in Oklahoma. Expect a wait during happy hour on the weekends, where the crowds lining the bar almost start to outnumber the folks at the tables. Don’t worry, it moves fast. We also really like that they’re smoke-free and family-friendly—because sometimes there’s no better way to unwind than with a cold drink and a well-maintained pool table.
No Place Sports Bar
$ | (918) 437-3777 | WEBSITE
No Place Sports Bar is perhaps best known for their lively atmosphere—it’s in their name after all. We’re big fans of the viewing setup here, especially the drop-down projector for music videos and karaoke sessions. While the large flat screens are impressive on their own, make sure to arrive early to snag a free hotdog or other treat for the full experience. Find them open until 2am with last call at 1am, where race is a non-issue as they treat all guests equally.
Bleacher Bums Sports Bar
$ | (918) 627-6999 | WEBSITE
When the game clock winds down and you need a place to unwind, we head to Bleacher Bums Sports Bar on its regular Tulsa street for cold drinks and good company. We like the laid-back atmosphere, the welcoming crowd of regulars that fills the space, and the attentive staff that keeps the sports viewing seamless. Also, when you hear about karaoke nights from Thursday through Sunday, you can’t not grab a microphone.
Just trust them when they say the double shots are seven dollars—they pour them right.
Savastano’s
$ | (918) 369-9387 | WEBSITE
There aren’t a lot of things that motivate us to make the drive from downtown Tulsa to the suburbs, which is what puts a deep dish pizza at Savastano’s and a Thunder game at the Paycom Center in very unique company. This is Chicago-style food at its best—nearly every component is crafted with authentic care—with pies layered beautifully enough to make even the pizza emoji jealous.
There are a lot of Chicago classics here, so whether you’re doing a deep dish pilgrimage across Oklahoma or just in the mood for a perfect Chicago-style hot dog with all the trimmings, you have a reason to make the trip, too.
Albert G’s Bar-B-Q
$ | (918) 728-3650 | WEBSITE
Albert G’s Bar-B-Q in Tulsa offers a great dining experience, including the 2 Meat Combo with Tulsa style ribs and chopped brisket, a popular choice accompanied by tasty sides like potato salad and coleslaw. Here the ribs come with a smoky bark and the brisket with a nice crust. The meat is tender and satisfying, a comforting experience not entirely unlike when you find the perfect spot in the shade on a hot day.
Nachos with pulled pork are also a hit, though some feel the food could use more seasoning. The pulled pork slider sandwiches are delicious, and the turkey in the pick 2 meat combo is juicy and fantastic. With consistently good food, generous portions, and top-notch service, Albert G’s is a recommended local spot for casual dining.
