Located in downtown Phoenix, Wren & Wolf stands apart for its exceptional steaks, intimate no-phone policy, and unique themed spaces (eyes on you, Trophy Room with moving art). But if there’s one must-have order here, it’s the Wyagu steak, cooked to perfection and served in the main dining area so you can’t miss it. The best in Glendale, this phenomenal cut delivers rich flavor and ideal texture.
And for breakfast crowds, the sandwich with eggs, tomatoes, avocado, and pesto is another one of our favorites. While the service can sometimes be a letdown, management responds diligently, and the quality justifies the cost, with most guests staying for the full immersive experience rather than grabbing to go.
Outback Steakhouse

Of course we’d fall for a place called Outback Steakhouse. But this Glendale favorite is more than its name since you can fulfill your steak fantasies and walk out with perfectly cooked ribs or a classic Caesar salad. We particularly enjoy their signature steaks. They’re expertly grilled, well seasoned, and have a beautiful sear outside and juicy medium-rare interior. We also like that they have comforting sides, such as creamy Mac n cheese and freshly prepared vegetables.
The atmosphere remains warm and welcoming, so many people stay to dine in. And if you do, be sure to enjoy one of their expertly mixed cocktails from the friendly bartenders, too.
Miel De Agave

Miel De Agave is a standout steakhouse in Glendale, Arizona, offering a delightful dining experience with a varied menu and excellent service. This spot is well-known for their green chili enchiladas, which are a highlight, and their drinks, which are a must-try. Their enchiladas are so flavorful it kind of feels like the spice cuts both ways when you take a bite. We also love their overall food, which offers a rich, satisfying taste.
And there’s always the allure of the beautiful interior, which surprises guests. You’ll always be joined by a steady stream of customers, but consider the somewhat crowded space a benefit since you’ll have extra time to soak in the atmosphere. Once you’ve got your meal, retreat to your table, where the friendly servers make up for any shortcomings, though the service can be inconsistent, with waitstaff not checking in frequently.
The food overall is very good, though it can be on the pricey side, with entrees around $25-$35. While the atmosphere can be loud, and some appetizers, like the bean dip and elote corn, may not impress, it remains a great spot to enjoy a good meal and have a great time, especially with the added charm of a photographer capturing special moments for families.
Firebirds Wood Fired Grill

The popular steakhouse chain Firebirds Wood Fired Grill has a Glendale location with a large dining area and separate bar space that fills the room. Walk through the tall-ceilinged entryway, and take in all the mahogany-accented décor that screams classic steakhouse. Go for whatever prime cut catches your eye, but make sure their standout prime rib is on your table before the server leaves. It’s a nice contrast to the other specials.
When you’re fighting for overcooked steaks at other spots, Firebirds is always checking tables. So even without asking for doneness, they’re your best bet if you’re looking to grab a satisfying meal with reliable service.
LongHorn Steakhouse

We look forward to any celebratory event where we have an excuse to enjoy a hearty steak dinner at this welcoming spot. Not to be confused with other chain steakhouses, LongHorn Steakhouse is located in Glendale and specializes in well-cooked steaks and friendly service, and that’s the reason why you should be here. If you haven’t tried their steaks before, they will tell you the outlaw and NY strip are popular choices that arrive perfectly cooked.
These are juicy, flavorful cuts served with tasty sides like the highly recommended Brussels sprouts we’ve ever had. The parmesan chicken and ribs are also favorite dishes. It’s a sit-down restaurant with quick service, but we’re sure we’re not the only ones who appreciate the attentive waitresses and managers who make special occasions memorable.
Rokerij

Rokerij has been serving Glendale since it first opened, offering a fine dining atmosphere perfect for romantic occasions or group celebrations. Contrary to their steakhouse reputation, they also have a variety of enjoyable food selections, including the sea bass special which comes with two sides and a salad, so they’re a great choice for seafood lovers.
Our favorites here are their delicious appetizers, which are some of the best around and the restaurant’s pride and joy, along with the food cooked to order ensuring a delicious meal. While prices have increased significantly and drinks and appetizers are particularly overpriced, the restaurant provides prompt seating and quick service. And if you’re looking for attentive service throughout, the staff are wonderful though service can sometimes drop off towards the end of the meal.
While the steaks are not recommended, Rokerij remains a satisfying dining experience for many customers.
Texas Roadhouse

Texas Roadhouse is one of the more reliable steakhouses in the metro. Sticking to classic American steakhouse offerings, the Glendale restaurant delivers solid things like their 14oz ribeye and efficient bar service. Their version of the Father’s Day rush is handled better than most in the Valley. Their service quality can vary, so keep your expectations realistic when their typically awesome waitstaff and lively atmosphere make an appearance.
They tend to get busy during peak times, so get here before 7pm, especially on the weekends.
Serra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse

Serra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse can be easy to miss among all the dining options that line the streets of Glendale. But before you drive past, just look for the distinctive Brazilian signage. The interior is warm and rustic, and there’s a spacious dining area where families and groups can gather comfortably. Take your time at their impressive salad bar, savor some perfectly grilled picanha, and enjoy desserts like their classic flan.
Like the other steakhouses in the area, they also offer a traditional rodizio service with various cuts of meat. Yet, Serra Gaucha remains our local favorite because their attentive, friendly service, especially from staff like Norma, makes the experience feel special despite the bustling atmosphere.
Nineteen 86 Steakhouse

Nineteen 86 is the perfect special occasion to celebrate life’s milestones (but with steak). We order the Thursday steak and lobster tail special, along with the signature bread pudding. But their menu is filled with so many enticing cuts that you’ll actually need a couple friends to try them all. The bacon appetizer reminds us of a classic steakhouse staple with its smoky flavors.
Another favorite is the Chocolate Decadence cake, which is paired with vanilla ice cream and topped with a rich glaze. If and when your celebration gets really special, you can find excellent service from staff like Rafi and Ken LeBlanc, who oversee the dining room. And you can also continue the evening with a blueberry tini at the bar, which complements the meal.
Feeney’s Restaurant & Bar

Just when you thought comfort food couldn’t get any cozier, Feeney’s Restaurant & Bar in Glendale said hold my Beef Wellington. Settling into a worn leather booth in the warm, low-lit dining room with rustic wood accents feels like coming home. We love the Beef Wellington, which has a perfectly flaky crust, like a savory pastry, but with added richness. We also enjoy their seared lamb chops, juicy prime rib lunch, and delicious burger.
So whenever we need a hearty mood booster, this welcoming and laid-back neighborhood spot checks all the boxes.
